If you rent an apartment, house, or townhome, you probably own furnishings, electronic equipment, clothing, a computer, and perhaps jewelry, silver, or other valuable items. Could you afford to replace them in the event of a fire or burglary? With renters insurance, your personal property would be covered. If a friend falls in the course of a visit or your pet takes a bite of the pizza delivery boy, your policy provides liability coverage. Renter's insurance may also cover forgery, unauthorized credit card use, and "loss of use" if a covered loss requires you to leave your home.
Linda Hottle will walk you through the renters insurance process. Just contact them during business hours (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) to receive a quote, to get answers to your questions, and to make certain you have adequate coverage for your particular needs.
